Hi Ben,

Very nice shooting as usual. Try and get the Ruger out of the shadows as you can't see how 'Sexy' it looks.

Cheers Mate,

Jeff

Just shift the donkey a little.

I suppose I could've huffed-and-puffed some more, but the sunny side was messed-up! Cheers, fellows!

Looks like they have started burning up there..
Do you track them and any bullets recovered?

Yep, the burning has started, although it is still pretty patchy at present. There is much more still to burn. Adam, my tracking ability consists only of telling what animals were around, and approximately how long ago; if I try to follow them, I either lose them on hard ground, or they get jumbled with other tracks. I imagine that Australian terrain isn't that much different to African terrain, and think we should get some trackers over to teach us! I would love to watch them bring me to donkeys, boars or buffalo over here. The bullet exited. Daryl, many donkeys have been put into pet meat in the past, and some still today. Most culled animals like this one get left where they are, and will shortly disappear, having fed eagles, kites, (tiny birds on the maggots), ants, goannas, pigs, wild dogs and cane toads (on the maggots). It's the pigs that really smash the carcass and demolish it. We will go back and check at regular intervals to try to shoot a pig off it.
