Model B Rear Sight Base

Hello Guys

I'm after a rear sight base for a Model B 250 Savage. The original is a ring base with a dovetail for one fixed blade and two folding - it sits right ahead of the reinforce.

I cannot locate the appropriate base,it is 18 mm ID and 27 mm long. The Recknagel (or NECG on the US)one (part 16510-018) is way to long. Graeme Spraggon, the Recknagel agent for Aussie is out of ideas.

Any ideas on who else to try ??

And what about shortening the Recknagel base from both ends to the desired length ?
