A gift for the double man whom has everything

The hand-blown single cask bottles have ‘A’ and ‘1974’ embossed into the glass, and are wax sealed with the individual cask number. The bottles lie on their side in opposing positions.

The hand-stitched bridle leather case is made in the UK by the same craftsmen who make gun cases for the world’s best gunsmiths (Purdey, Beretta and Boss), according to Ardbeg. Each case is made to the same dimensions as a double-barrel gun case.

Each leather case will be numbered on the inner edge and protected with a key.

The two hand-blown bottles, embossed with ‘A’ and ‘1974’ on the glass, lie on their side in opposing positions (left) – and silver labels feature a ‘zoomorphic’ (the use of animal figures in art and design) design (right)

Each sterling silver drinking cup is hallmarked (left) by Hamilton & Inches; the case also contains a bespoke oak and sterling silver Omas pen engraved with the Ardbeg ‘A’ on the silver barrel and the Ardbeg knotwork on the clip (right)

The single cask bottles are accompanied by eight sterling silver (hallmarked) drinking cups, created in partnership with one of Scotland’s leading silversmiths, Hamilton & Inches. They are numbered 1 to 8 to mirror the ‘pegs’ drawn for a place to stand on a traditional shoot, said Ardbeg.

Besides the two single cask bottles and silver drinking cups, the case also contains a bespoke oak and sterling silver Omas pen. Each pen is engraved with the Ardbeg ‘A’ on the silver barrel and the Ardbeg knotwork on the clip. The pen’s outer barrel is made of mature oak.

Each case also contains two hand-stitched leather-bound books – a 'Sampling Register' with full tasting notes of the 1974 cask bottlings, and ‘The Ardbeg Double Barrel’ story containing anecdotes about Ardbeg and stories about luxury country life.

Inspired by the tradition of the shooting party, the Ardbeg Double Barrel features a hand-stitched bridle leather case made to the same dimensions as a double-barrel gun case; each contains two bottles of 1974 single cask Ardbeg

Macallan Linley Cabinet

As for price, try 10,000 pounds for the Ardberg "only" 250 available, and a one-off 55,000 pounds for the Macallan Linley Cabinet!

Excellent grog eh,JH I posted about the Ardberg last year i think it was ,here is an Aus supplier complete with a dozen price,hmm now I wonder who buys this by the dozen?

Love the Linley special too.

I like the cabinet not the whiskey inside. I saw a version of a cabinet similar without some of the extras, ie bottles and glasses - at a price without all the zeros behind it. Need to find the site again.

I got some of the details off a website which prices the individual components to see what the above two offerings would actually add up to.

The price on the "box" in your link is "discounted" at only A$10,000 each! Oops the price is per bottle, guess you get "half" a "gun case" then.
