Following up on the 'Bear Poker' thread, there was a nice write up of the 'new' Fanzoj boxlock double rifle in the Winter 2010 Double Gun Journal.

Some key features described include modified A&D rounded action incorporating unique full intercepting sears and improved locking lumps where the barrel hook reaches 3mm into the action face...

It looks fantastic... and I don't have the courage to ask the price!

That does look good but not as good as a droplock scalloped Westley with sideclips best

It looks beautiful to me. I'd sleep with it.

They make very beautiful guns. I certainly enjoyed handling some of them at SCI this year. However, I know of a few instances where they have not functioned as well as intended (the problems were rectified, but should not have left their hands in the first place if they were not perfect IMO), and that kind of puts me off a bit. "Fashion" must never be focused upon to the degree that it takes over for function.

Hi Erik - do you have any more details? Are you referring to the boxlock or some of their more elaborate creations? Just curious as this seems on the face of it a well thought out and very practical design...

It was regarding a kipplauf. That wouldn't hit a barn wall... But I also know from the owner of that kipplauf that there were some problems with some guns that were sold to a Russian. Unfortunately, I do not recall the details, although I seem to remember that it, or they, were doublerifles.
