Two Sleeps till NZ

Two sleeps till I head off to Un-Zud to collect a Red deer. Weather forcast is for 80% chance of heavy rain with temps of 2.C to 10.C.

If I don't come back I'll be a frozen fat corpse on the tops. Lol.

Go forth and bring back "The Monarch of the Glen" I hope that the weather is a little better than predicted and that those mountains refrain from shaking until your return.

I'm at the stage where just being there trying to get one will be enough. It will be nice to 'get away'. I spent this morning doing relief duty at Mungindi and at 5am found myself in the middle of approx 16 'sisters' boxing on. We took the loser to hospital but I'm well and truely over it.

Being a shameless self promoter

there will be a full hunt report with photos.

Well I'm in the departure lounge and I forgot to post/send my Restricted Goods permit and Export Declaration to Customs BEFORE getting to the Airport. What an idiot.

Luckily, there was a supervisor rostered on in Brisbane who could give me an EDN. If there had not been, I would have either had to catch a later flight, leave the rifle behind or race over to the seperate Customs building at 9am. Not good if the plane leaves at 9:30am !!!!!

I've had nil problems before on two previous OS flight. I just forgot.

Luckily all is good and my 7x57 and ammo are safely with the airline. Cya.

Its a horrible feeling when shit happens, even when sometimes it is our own fault because we forgot something. Happens to everyone if they fly enough. Somehow for me, I have always got through it OK, through luck or other.

Bit late with the post but that happens when you don't get to a computer for a couple of days.
