Golf - a good way to ruin a walk. If I am going to walk, I'll do it with a gun in my hands !!! LOL

It's hard to believe that that is a real golf ball. I've golfed enough to know that they wouln't distort that much and still stay in one piece. At 150 mph against solid steel, I'm confident that the ball would shatter.

crkennedy, I´ll have 20 bucks you are wrong, I saw a slow mo of Ballesteros hitting a ball about 20 years ago, at point of impact the golf ball was the same shape as a half moon so at 150 I guess that is about right, have you ever unravelled a golf ball ? about 300 yds of micro thin elastic band then in the inside a rubber ball filled with a soft putty type material (at least thats what was in them when I used to collect them from the rough when a kid and sell them back to the club for practice balls) , best Mike

Golf balls are designed to be "squashed" and are actually quite flexible - after all, older one's were just a whole load of rubber bands wrapped around in a ball (I had one explode on me once when we were doing what we shouldn't have been doing !!!).

Have a look on utube for slow mo golf balls being hit.
