375 Flanged
      #176488 - 03/03/11 06:37 AM

Hi Everybody,
I was looking to buy a DR in 375 Flanged but it seems like there's no factory ammo available in Canada. I am not a handloader. Does anybody knows of any source I could procure .375 Flanged ammo from??
Thanks to all

Superior ammo company will make up whatever load you like.

others may be able to provide other companies.

BTW - Is it 375 2 1/2 or 375 Flanged Magnum ?

Can you order from Midway International in Canada?

www.intlmidway.com

I believe Midway USA handles Corbon and Kynoch factory .375 Flanged...

Hi All,
So, finally I was able to find some brass for my 375 Flanged Magnum, it's by Jamison International, going to order it soon. Does any one knows if the .375 H7H Mag 'Dies' would work on Flanged Mag too or, I need separate 'Dies' for Flanged Mag??
Now, I need to find some bullets. I've heard that 350 grain bullets works best in Flanged Mag but couldn't find any manufacturer offering 350 grain in .375 diameter.
I'll also try to find some source for Norma ammo, dealers do carry Norma ammo here in Canada, but I don't know if they carry the full line of Norma products.
I don't think I could order any ammunition from USA, even if so it would be a big hassle, better to be avoided.
Cheers

Woodleigh make 350gns bullets for 375 but who told you that 350 grain bullets works best in Flanged Mag ???????????

350gns have only recently really come into favour for the Magnum Bolt action rounds.

Use 270gn or 300gns or whatever your DR was regulated for.

if anything, AFTER you have sorted out a standard regulation load, go for a lighter load as unless you are after Buffalo or Elephant, a lighter load it is much more useful (ie 75% rule type load - so about 235gns).

375H&H dies can be used for neck sizing but I would buy a set of Flanged dies.

Use 300 woodleighs if you can, Holland report the 350´s keyholing in some of their old doubles so got Norma to load them some 300 grainers up as a special order to test those vs Romey and Kynamco, apparently they worked well, I´m going late March to try them at the Holland range along with the .500.
