Incredible board on that rifle. so much black in it, it smacks of Turkish Walnut, which of course, is just another English Walnut from a different area. Fantastic, Mike!

OH MY GOD!!!!

That is absolutely georgeous.

Are you planning on taking it hunting or will it be relegated to the safe?

If I had that rifle, it would be in the field the day I received it.

Please tell me you have a hunt planned for that beauty.

Kindest regards,

Carpediem

Pacing the floors all right. Waiting for sun rise to get out with the rifle.

Mike be sure to post pics when you get them.

Hi Mike,

I guess that it is typical of what one expects from Holland & Holland but that is absolutely beautiful.

You are indeed a very lucky man and you should count one's blessings.

Good luck in September,

Cheers from Australia,

Jeff Gray

I don't even know what to say about that rifle -- you did well for your kids Mike.

Good on you.
Have fun with it while it's yours!

mike

Superb and whatever the final cost worth every penny. You clearly do not like recoil pads!?

What case tools did you opt for, I always feel they add immensely to the overall effect. I saw a previous thread naming Mike Marsh as tool maker, none finer, over the 20 plus years I have known and traded with Mike his work keeps getting better.

Are you going for ebony handles, ivory or horn?

Have hollands regulated with Romey or Kynoch ammo do you know?

regards

Jonathan

Noticed that too!
My 360No.2 is tolerable with the steel buttplate, but a 500! Yipes!

Wonderful gun. Some day, some day...
