Won these two at the last Holt's auction. Won't see them for 4-6 months due to paperwork/importing.

That second one is a Gibbs I think.
Don't know what they mean by replacement barrel - looks correct to me.

Thanks I thought it might be a Gibbs also from what I've learned from this forum. If so, I got quite the bargin.

BTW, my M1900 that came to me as a barreled action only and was stocked by myself, is also dated "Steyr 1901" and has the Gibbs serial number B 3452, only two from your rifle. As it was made for retail by another, it does not have the G.Gibbs adress on the barrel.

Not sure how true but I was told that Gibbs were the agents for Mannlicher hence so many wiht the Gibbs numbers. My Rigby also has a Gibbs number on it stamped just above the Steyr number on the barrel:-

As I say how true this is I am not sure.

Brithunter nice Muntjac. None of mine are that nice. They are fun little deer to stalk through the plantations.
