Just wondering as to how he is doing after his health problems. Anyone know?

My guess is he is out on Safari gathering material for a new issue.

It was only yesterday when it occurred to me that it has been a while since I last received one of his magazines. Cant wait for the next.

I am just hoping he has not strained his back again or had a run in with some dreaded illness or parasite from Africa!

Hatari Times is great, I love the variety of old and new that Harald mixes in the publication.

Saw this post was being read and it prompts my question.

Does anyone, in particular our European friends, know what happened to Harald Wolf? And his magazine Hatari?

It was one of the better magazines, even with the irregular timetable.

As far as i know he still alive and in good shape , but since 2011 there seems to be no activity left.

It should had given some problems but i don't know much more.

Hatari Times was a very good Magazine for African Hunters.

I talked to Monika Wolf some years ago when I tried to contact Harald as I was interested in buying a gun Harald had built. At the timne Harald was working in some other industry and his workshop still excisted but no daily gunsmithing operations.

I think has not been a new issue of Hatari Times for a long time. Todays hunting magazine seems to be lots of products placement and shoulder rubbing. I better not mention name or I shall be in trouble. Hatari Times magazine was interesting and different. I enjoyed Hatari Times gun/cartridge articles and odd hunting adventures.

Thanks gentlemen for the information.

If Harald is ever still interested in guns, and drops by here at NE, he is more than welcome.

I think most people I know and who have posted on the subject think his magazine Hatari was one of the best. And Harald's articles were almost always interesting and often on a topic not often covered in most or any English language magazines, particularly some of the rifles.

If anyone has his contact info please PM me. I will have to look and see what is left online??? I haven't done that yet.

I followed Harald Wolf from the Hatari beginning when he sent me a complimentary issue No. 1. Subscribed and I have most of the issues except a few during the last when mailings were so erratic.

My hobby was building big bore rifles until old age set in and I lost the "Fire In The Belly". I have several unfinished rifles, along Harald's style, than I hope to complete before the Grim Reaper and I have a contest. Came close a couple of years ago with a bad MRSA infection in my leg.

I continue to have the shop and all machinery, fully equipped for big bore gun building. If Harald was near me I would certainly invite him to use my shop in the continuance of his gun building endeavors.
