I just got 3 LW Type A barrels this week. Wow they are nice!

We got 2 in 8x57 .323 cal. 1:9.4 twist and 1 in 404 Jeffery .423 cal. 1:14

All three in slightly modified contours.

1 8x57 at 25" 1 at 24" and the 404 at 25"

We are going to order another 404 .423 cal. for a 10.75x68 Mauser also.

I'll post up some pics later this week.

Allen

I rebarreled my Brno 21 with a Walther Model A contour in 9.3x62 and fitted it with a Recknagel 3 leaf express sight, which fitted perfectly. I didnt specify anything other than the caliber and twist. I wanted a mannlicher carbine so it is chopped at 20.5". Everything is polished waiting to be picked up and rust blued. The rifle balances beautifully for me, right on or just before the front screw. I think the contour is right on the money. Some might find it a tad heavy maybe, if wanting a light weight rig.

Riflemanusmc, Shilen makes the .366 barrel blanks.
I have put a few into Mausers in the past. I intend to make one for myself in the near future.
If you need help, contact me at szihn@wyoming.com
I can make about anything you'd like.
If I had your old 30-06 barrel I could copy the shank and headspace dimensions, and it would be a screw-in fit. Any length and any contour you'd like.
