Mannlicher M 1930?
      #170083 - 23/10/10 10:46 PM

there is a "Mannlicher M 1930" for sale in austria I have not seen before:
http://www.waffengebraucht.at/prog/artik...&xraritaet=
interesting because of the 9,3x57 chamber it seems to be something for the swedisch market. the 9,3x57 cartridge also made from RWS till 1944 for sweden was never common in austria or germany.

the action differ from a Mannlicher Schoenauer. there is a magazine holder(?) in the trigger guard like we know it from commercial Mauser sporting rifle's.

and the end of the turning bolt looks like a M 95

(photo shop work)

would like to know more about his action

I`m quite sure that rifle in those pictures is customized Mannlicher Huzagol 43M.

I make pics to compare this hungarian M 43with his father and grandfather. here on nitroexpress is also a post about a mauser with a mannlicher magazin.
well this M 43 is a mannlicher with a mauser magazin. interesting that the last repeating rifle the deutsche wehrmacht accept was a M 88 action again. I know that this rifle is terrible rare and military collector's would not like it if you butcher it to make a sporter but would be indeed a good possibility.

Some time after WW2 Fegyvergiar, the Budapest arms factory, apparently built some sporters on highly modified M43 actions. At least, two such rifles have come to my notice. They closely resemble Mannlicher-Schoenauers, but cock on closing and have a Mauser-type staggered box magazine. Here are some photos of one in 8x60 Magnum.

note the more civilian firing-pin nut and safety.

nothing on earth that did not exist somewhere
thank you for the pics of this mannlicher. I remember seeing a "Mannlicher Schönauer " on a american dealer website sometimes in spring with the "Fegyvergiar" inscription on the receiver.
my thought's were that Budapest had have the licence for Mannlicher Schönauer in Hungary and they sold them with their own name there.
maybe this sporter was one of the mannlicher m 43 rifles you show us here
