Thanks for sharing that. I read that in both world wars, Aussies were, in general, much better at shooting their opponents than vice-versa, due to a much larger percentage of them having substantial experience on game.

Great photo.

I say hack the crap out of all those military surplus rifles.
In jack trim they're hideous.
Get a stock duplicator up and running making copies of proper sporting wood and put the damn things to work in deer/pig/bear season.

I couldn't ever see the fuss in preserving the configuration of a martial rifle. Move on for crying out loud!

Don't butcher those old girls! Plenty of other hack jobs to restore, so if you find a claissic with a full stock don't ruin it!
