Another beautiful scope and with a very acceptable magnification, it is a shame that they are so expensive in Australia but I guess if you want the best you have to pay more for the privilage.

A scope of such wide multiples would seem an even greater feat than the European 1.5-to-6s and Swarovski 3-to-18. I wonder what the black ring between fields is like at the lower powers and how far it extends up the range?

In the old days it seemed power ranges could only go in multiples of about three (eg 3-to-9 or 2.3-to-7). Even now some brands tell porkies with their numbers and don't manage that many. According to Optics Planet, the Redfield and cheaper Leupold 4-12s only reach from 4.5 to 11.4 power.
