Oh I have made several muzzleloading doubles. It's fun and they are great weapons for hunting.
I have 2 "in the works" now, but I don't seem to have time to finish them.
One is a 62 cal bullet rifle, (750 grain bullet) and the other is an 8 bore ball rifle (825 grain ball).

Have you ever thought about making a nice "African style" "elephant gun" 4-bore or 8-bore?

Sure NitroX I have done it already.

As I said up above, I have two in the works right now.

I have never done a double in anything bigger then an 8 bore however.

Not that I couldn't or wouldn’t, but I have not been asked.

A double 4 bore would be a very heavy rifle, but a strong man could probably manage it.
I'd have to guess that weight would come in at about 25-26 pounds

A double 2 would be ......... hard to imagine. You'd better be VERY strong to manage one of them.

I was meaning a single barrel in my post.

Got any photos of a 8-bore or 4-bore "African style" "elephant gun"? Also the 8-bore double you mention, if you haven't posted them in the past already. Thanks.
