If the calibres are on the shelf about 6-8 weeks in Melbourne but if have to be made by order about 10-12 weeks.

I wonder what the legal requirements are ? I am keen and would appreciate a PM from you with your contact details.
I am wary about about ordering rifles/parts from the US due a a recent/on going debacle with with an American gunmaker.

Bob

There will be an update to the Empire situation soon. Could be triumph or tragedy.

Sub Judice is perhaps apt.

As unlikely as it is, I hope this situation works out to everyone's satisfaction. I'm having an additional take-down barrel assembly made & starting to get a taste of their delays.

Having purchased both of mine new & unfired from the original buyers I missed that part of the Empire experience, and I can't imagine waiting years to have a rifle built (al the while being told misleading delivery dates). I am, however, very very happy with the rifles themselves and wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

Well, I'm pulling for you. My takedown .30-'06 is as accurate as Empire advetises, and the actions on it and the .280 Rem Liberty model sitting in the safe are very smooth (I've never fired that one). I've been looking at a couple of Dakotas recently and I like Empire's action much better.

I don't think I'd want to be in George's spot right now, trying to keep a custom rifle operation afloat in this economy...I have concerns about their longevity if he doesn't start delivering some rifles and improving general opinions soon. (I recognize that I'm not helping that situation by buying his rifles on the second-hand market)
