WR barreled action
      #166835 - 26/08/10 09:02 AM

I have been reading a while, not posting much, but a lot of info flows thru here...

I have question..I have found a Westley Richards .318WR in a Mauser action. The stock was broke up many years ago and is gone. The bluing and bore is good and the color cased parts are faded, but there. What do you feel is a fair price for the barreled action.I have a guy who can duplicate the stock, once proper wood is found.I would like it restored to it original configuration....

Phillip,
Tough call without more info/pics.
What are the sights on the gun? Folks seem to hold the patent WR front sight in high regard.
IMO, since it is missing the wood, the more uniquely Westley Richards features it has, the better and the more valuable as a gun worth restocking to it's original form.

G'Day Phillip,

Send me an email (not a PM), and I will send you some info on another WR in .318 Accelerated Express.
As a firearms dealer, I sold this rifle for a mate of mine last year.

Hope to hear form you soon.

Yes,the sights are all there. The front sight is a "winged" affair with color case still showing. The barrel is marked with the correct address, all proofs are correct,it appears to be pre-war I.
I am waiting on photo's now
