A few tough nights with the crocs
      #164360 - 17/07/10 07:10 AM

In light of Al`s monster croc photo I suggest the following is a good read.

A great yarn, Gryphon but 'dendy fever'? Is that the one that gives you an insane desire to go to the cinema?

Interesting read. Bit of a turkey though!

Ha ha, I like it, putting a cage for a man to sit in, in a creek called "The Blood Drain".

Pity there aren't any decent photos with the story to back up his claims.

yes i did see the dengue as dendy and thought how stupid to not get it right a t the time.

JH apparently the film is 'out there' I do remember the Ireland name as one of some note in the wild life film stuff, its not a big croc at 18 though...the blood drain was indeed a notorious place for what is described in the tale.

Wynden meatworks

Cambridge gulf at Wyndem Westers Australia

an old croc shooter based in Windom

after fatal attacks near Wyndem

I wonder if they meant Wyndham......

Cheers,
Mark.

Of course its a big croc you woody...BUT not BIG as in the monster sizes they used to get to in the 'old days' many were shot well over 20 feet and an 18 footer and a 20 footer are so much more different in bulk side by side that you wouldnt think much of the lousy 18 footer in that circumstance.

Now Matty you seem to respond to my posts where you have a little tanty pick most of the time yet when I post real life images of game dead or alive you are strangely silent... and i will add....mate!

I dont know what you are talking about and I dont see why you are expecting me to respond to all of your posts or whatever???? get a grip on yourself...

As for 18 foot crocs being 'lousy' back in the old days.... I think you are mistaken and at least in this country I havent seen evidence of all of these 20 foot plus crocs... where are they??

How many crocodiles in this country have been RECORDED as being over 20 foot in length, even a skine that indicated a 20 foor plus crocodile..

I think an 18 foot croc is a big croc to everyone on this thread. No doubt about it.

I would like to see the film or stills the bloke took though.

The monster that Alan posted with the mystery photo, was 16 foot and 4 inches.

So no doubt 18 foot is simply huge.
