Imman Meffert 12&12/9.3x72R

Someone been forgotten this Imman Meffert for quite a while to the cupboard, luckily now it's on mine one. Based on the serial number 8577, is it from the late 19th century or early 20-th, as having also schwarzpulver proof marks on it.

Hi Dandy, these old Suhl made hammer drillings most often open via the under- or sidelever, just a matter how the lever is shaped. The "top-lever" is indeed the barrel selector, pushing it to the side puts a transfer bar between the right hammer and the firing pin of the rifle barrel so the front trigger fires the rifle instead of the right shotgun

Having a dozen+ best british SxS shotguns on the gunrack. If would do a blind test for many of the members on the forum and would place the Imman to your hands, you would not be able to tell whether it is H&H, J. Purdey or Imman on your hands, a fantastic drilling I've to say.
