Pato, bloody nice bull and taken with a Lee Speed 303 .
Well done.

GG375,another great bull, looks like he has had either cattle dogs or dingo's swinging of his ears at one time or another.

Hi Alan

I never really thought about it but you are probably right. Dingoes would be my bet as he was shot in an area where there would be unlikely to be cattle dogs.

Have seen heaps of calves with tails missing from the dingoes biting/pulling them off on the stations.

Cheers.

GG

What breed of cow are these scrub bulls? That picture of the one standing in the brush at the ridge line by Ben looks similar to the Brahman cattle we have here. I wish I could come over and shoot a few myself, give my .375 a good workout other than for elk. I like a good adrenaline rush!

G'day Rory,

They can be any breed gone wild and feral. Up this way, they're usually shorthorn, although we do get a few brahman and brahman-cross-shorthorn. In north Queensland, where GG is in action, they encounter the same, with more instances of brahman.

Cheers,

Ben

Well done.
Those old piker bullocks would rather lay down under a tree or in the yards and die than let you load them on a truck.
And they are usually twice as cunning as your average scrub bull.
Great trophy and one to be proud of especially as it was taken with a Lee Speed in original form (open Sights)
