Thanks

Hi Vagrouser,

Ask your wife about an old saying "Big is Best" by that I mean it is very hard to see the grain with such a small photo. Bring them into the forum as a Large photo.

Cheers,

Jeff Gray

It's OK, bit boring though. Keep the wood for another project and send the barreled action to me please.

Nice!

No mate, much better off being cut up into knife handle blanks LOL

Just make sure you post photos of the finished firearm,
should look great.

Thanks all. Preference in wood and engraving is obviously personal but I appreciate the input. I think it is going to look fantastic and will share some more details of the build at a later date.

I'm assuming everyone is being sarcastic, vagrouser, and saying the opposite to what they think.

Excellent piece of well figured wood.

Please share photos of the project as it progresses or the finished result.

Beautiful pc of wood. Expect to find some holes and other inclusions in there once you get to opening her up that you will have to fill. I have worked with a couple of pcs like that and the holes/cracks appear out of nowhere. Should be well worth the effort, though. Can't wait to see the pics of the finished stocks. Good luck. By the way, I have some similar blanks I am holding onto till I can find a suitable 20ga sxs to put them on for my wife.

Reprising my previous. A great blank but if it's weak through the hand and contains voids then only for light calibres.
