I have been to Gwalior once i wish i could say it is as clean as the rifle.

I know very little if anything about double rifles. What is the purpose of the second smaller lever between the safety and top lever ?

I like the brush game scene on the action belly.
Nice details on the muzzles and ribs too.

What does this one weigh?

A very nice Westley and a great Westley cartridge. The Maharaja's certainly ordered one or two.
Were the rifle photos taken in SoCal?

Trophit1: That is called a stalking safety it keeps the gun in the safe position.

Tinker: Weight is 9lbs 10ozs.

Gatsby: The photos were taken at our home in the Hamptons (East Coast).

Oz: By unusual I assume you mean hardly seen in this calibre, if so you are correct. I have encountered very few over the years especially in this condition and grade.

GW,
Its just the plant pallet/crushed rock type and use of the dpj emitter suggested a somewhat arid climate with few days below 17 degrees. Areas perhaps in the southwest but I guess not. I do this all the time when at the theatre.

Nice and light!
That thing should handle like a charm.

Do you have a full history on the rifle?
Do you know who's been doing the refinish work on it?
It looks really nice and the work has a great look of continuity.
The gold critter on the trigger guard is a little distracting, but as part of the package it's kind of cool.

How does it shoot?

I've been looking at these drop-locks for a couple of weeks. One thing I have wondered is how the hinge pin is afixed. Any chance of getting a picture of the action knuckle?

Wow! Beautiful rifle. With the exception of the trigger guard screw closet to the serial number the gun looks new. Restored/Original? Nice find.

Gatsby: I took these pictures by the pump house, not much going on at that part of the property but care free landscape.

Tinker: I do not have a full history of the rifle other than what is posted. The Maharaja died a few years after taking delivery from the other research I have.

Bailey: I would post a pic for you but Im afraid you may copy my rifle.
