BIG leopard captured on a game cam at a property I have hunted in RSA.

Cropped and lightened

Far as I know no one has gotten him yet. He favored young impala and left his calling card often when I was there hunting plains game.

Splendid pictures. Congratulations to the dedicated sportsmen who had the opportunity to harvest these majestic cats. Would love to see more trophy leopards. One of my dream hunts is to bag a dandy leopard similar to the one captured on game cam in the picture above.

Both taken in Tanzania, in the Selous, within 24 hours of each other, 1972. Talk about luck!

Seeing that it is for more than one type of cat, I may have gone overboard!

Just killed this big old Lion with a Westley Richards 425 this morning. Age estimated at well over ten years and on his last legs with teeth worn and main deteriorating. The ideal "off take".
An awesome hunt!

Bumped into this big old Lion at close quarters in long grass at a carcass of a poached Elephant. Sat for him that night but no show then got him in the morning with a quartering away shot as he got up to leave. Taken with a Westley Richards in .425 Magnum Express on a flood plain of the Lugenda river Niassa Reserve hunting block B.
A classic Lion hunt with www.kambakosafaris.com

For those that feel concerned about the sustainability of Lion hunting, This was a classic example of Sport huntings involvement in the maintaining of their habitat.
This lion (over six years old and an outcast from breeding pride) was apart of a strict quota set by the massive but cash strapped "Niassa Game Reserve" Ecologists to provide a source of income to assist in the running of this wilderness area within a third word country. This "pay and it stays" system has and is being used throughout Africa and other parts of the world with great success. For without an income, the powers that be would be forced to allow Logging, Mining and farming within these huge areas, thus introducing more people into these fragile areas which ultimately would lead to the extinction of the unwanted wildlife (Wildlife in the African language is known as "Nyamma" which means "Bush Meat"). I have been fortunate to visit and work within some of these areas and it is plain to see the positive effects where you only have to travel beyond their boundary's to see the devastation that follows the human fingerprint.

Maybe a little late chiming in...

Here's a Tom we shot just last month:

And for those interested - we have had a cancellation and have a leopard hunt on sale.

Normal price of our Zim leopard hunts is more than $20,000 excl. air charter.

For $16,000 you can have a 10 day leopard hunt inclusive of air charter, trophy fees and government levies.

Contact me!
