I have a bag of 230gn Game Ranger bullets from South Africa but apparently they are no longer being made. Designed for very deep penetration on the heavier plains game.

One thing about the SMLE 303 is that for those who feel naked without being able to get more than 3 or 4 rounds in their magazines, the 303 excels with a good solid detachable magazine of 10 rounds, another on your belt and you have 20 rounds of ammo to slay any herd of animals.

LOL- hadn't though of them that way - scoped #4 for wolf packs - NOW we're talking, except we aren't allowed to hunt at night - when the wolves are out hunting.

I'm pretty sure that series of articles was written by Don Heath "Ganyana" and Charlie Hayley. They have been collected in a book available through African Hunter magazine.
