Husqvarna made them also plus Browning's High Power came out in `59 and was dropped in `74 apparently.

I'll bet that most of the Euro's did it at one time or the other. I had a Dumolin FS in 308 Norma Mag. But somebody had rechambered it to 300 Winny prior to me.

Firearms International of Washington,D.C. imported the "Americanized" version of the classic FN Supreme Rifle called the "Musketeer". It came in sporter, full-stock carbine and barreled actions in the .308 Norma Mag. plus other cals. in the early 60's.

Gentlemen,

I bought at a gun fair ca. 5 years ago an original Dumoulin in 308 Norma Mag.

It was an experimental rifle on a modified 98 system for evaluating the process/machining steps for a cheaper rifle product line.

I do not think Dumoulin made a serial production of this economy-priced rifle.

best regards
Rolf

Sako also made them on a Mauser action of F,N manufacture.

G'Day Fella's,

Wood Beef, if I remember correctly, my old Speer #9 reloading manual has a list of barrel twist rates for various firearm manufacturers, in many calibers. This may be of some assistance toward answering your question.

Unfortunately, my workshop is locked up for the day but if I remember tomorrow, I will have a look and report back!

Hope this helps

G'Day Wood Beef,

Sorry for the delay (in remembering and responding), with the info from Page 438 of the Speer #9 reloading manual.

It specifies the following Four (4) rifles, chambered for .308 Norma Magnum and their twist rate;

Musketeer and Schultz & Larsen = 1 in 10"
Browning and Husqvarna = 1 in 12"

Sorry WB, I cant help you out with who the manufacturer of the Musketeer brand rifle is/was???
But rest assured, one of the rusted on NE forum participants will know!!!
Well maybe???

Edited by Homer, Sorry, I just re read this thread and Long Island has already addressed and answered this!

Hope that helps
