Hi, I was wondering if any of you could tell me about the Rogue River Rifle works Model 88? This is a copy of the winchester model 88 lever action rifle. I was looking for an original winchester version but they are very expensive, especially in the .358 that I covet. Do you think that this rifle would be a less expensive alternative? Does Rogue River Rifle works still make rifles, or have they been absorbed by Rigby? It is a funny thing; Rigby has this nice website and there is nothing of the sort for Rogue River Rifle works.

Welcome 35shooter, good choice on the 358 Win I'd love a sweet little carbine in 358 for pigs on the creek beds!!!

I can't help you with information on Rogue River Rifle Works.

Have you considered getting a Winchester 88 and having it rebarreled or rebored?

Can't help you with the Rouge River rifles other than to say. I doubt they would be able to make them cheaper than they are currently selling Win M88's for?

If I remember correctly I think I seen one (or was it a Sako Finwolf) in 358Win on www.usedguns.com.au
