I was very interested in this rifle ,I spoke to the owner about it and got some more pictures. The action has been drilled and tapped for a side mount and the stock shows some hard use although it has been well looked after. Unfortunately by the time I was in a position to agree to buy it ,it had been sold to someone in Victoria.

Hubba Hubba!

I disagree on the wood being in damn good nick though -- it's been cut straight across for that damn recoil pad.
Damn pussy who needs such a thing on a love-tap cartridge such as the .375

The butt end murder is a shame, but the rifle is a peach anyway.

Cheers

That old girl used to be mine. I'm the chap that sold it on used guns.

The "hard use" was some scaring, but nothing too bad. Also you can't help but ask "WHY" would someone fit a ventilated recoil pad.

I wish I hadn't sold it, but lack of funds call for drastic actions.

She was a lovely old girl to shoot, but at a touch under 6lb 12oz, quite lively

I must also thank Marrakai for his info on loads for the 9.5 posted on this forum.

I've noticed that some slight discolourations look like large rust spots on the photos. I'll just add that it was rust free.
