Fox Sterlingworth--16 gauge double
      #145006 - 02/11/09 03:21 PM

Ran into one of these at the local consignment shop--I realize there are a LOT of variables to affect the value----but, does anyone know the price range these are going for --1200 to 2500 US??

this one handled like a dream--would have bought it on the spot but the stock has been cut and then added back on two so it looks horrible--mechanically the gun is very tight and in good condition..its just the stock that is horrible..they wanted $1100.

thanks

I think about $600.00 to about $700.00 would be a good price for the barreled action and forend or forend parts - just needs a new butt-stock is all. I believe they are reaching a bit high with that $1,100 price, expecially with today's market.
I am not a collector - just a shooter, so can't help with collector value. I can say that with that butchered stock, it has little to no collector value as the stock must be replaced in any event if one wants to 'fix' it.

Sounds like a good one to me - for that money.
