Funny how things turn out... On another post I suggested that the .310 Greener/Cadet would be the LAST cartridge I would want in a double rifle. Well, now I own one... I now contend that the .600 NE is the LAST chambering I would want in a double (see if that works)

Yes, it is puny! Little more than the width of a standard matchbox!

Nice rifle, A 310 would be a good cheap round. How does it shoot.

Just got it so I haven't fired it yet. I load 310 for my martini so I just have to get some range time. I don't have high hopes for accuracy - the bores are not great - although my martini bore isn't great either and it is a real tack driver.

If you wonder what it's good for and what the maker's intention was, read this page from W.W. Greener The Gun and Its Development

Nice little rifle. Please let us know how it shoots. You might share some loading details on this interesting cartridge also.

Good try. If it works again for you we may need a thread for that purpose for all of us guys.
What are the ballistics of the .310? Considering the reference mention of game out to 300 yards, including small buck and deer? Seems a bit of a stretch!

I'd think not past 100yards on 'small' deer. I also suspect with smokeless loads, 1,200 to 1,400fps with 125gr. about IT.
