.360 No.2 Jamison brass coming 2010
      #143810 - 16/10/09 11:39 PM

Gentlemen

I received word this week from Terri at Jamison International that .360 No.2 brass is on schedule for production in 2010.

Any .360 No.2 owners out there, let me know of how many pieces of properly head stamped brass you may be interested in. My thought is that if Jamison knows they have a commitment for 1000 or 5000 pieces they may be more inspired to begin production sooner rather than later. Also, perhaps we can negotiate a better quantity price. No prices are currently available.

It wouldn't hurt for some of us to call Terri on occasion at 605-347-5090 or e-mail her at terri.jamison@rushmore.com to let her know of our continued interest.

Don

If you are involved with getting this brass produced, make sure Jamison has the dimensions right.

For us Martini shooters Jamison made 577/450 brass to CIP specs. This brass will fit a 70 percent of the Martini chambers. CIP shows the 577/450 shoulder as an angle flat plain when in fact Martini chambers have a ogee shoulder.

Kynoch and Bertram both understand this problem and make a an appropriate adjustement to the shoulder of their brass fits 99% of all the martini chambers..

Very good point.

The 360 No2 actually seems to have two different sets of dimensions. Vastly different.
Dimensions at the case head and rim are the same for both, but the shoulder location and shape are completely different between the two variations of this particular cartridge.

Jamison would probably do well to produce it in the same shape that Bertram does so they can be fire-formed to any 360 No.2 chamber.

Okay Guys you have started something here with this thread. I have a Remington Hepburn action and I have been trying to figure out what caliber to make it. I already knew that I wanted to do it in an English Stalking style and was leaning towards a 38-55 but this seems to me to be just what I was looking for in a cartridge as far as pressure and shootability. Now the big question that I could use a little help with. What is the bore size? Any help or push in the right direction would be gratly appreciated.

Any barrel in 9.3mm (say for 9.3X74 for example) is correct.
.366" IIRC.
