Some of mine do, some don't.

If buying new, get them on the gun, you can always disable them.

If buying old, buy the gun with ejectors.

It makes it easier to sell in some ways.

In the field, I can hunt with either but even though
when hunting I worry about the brass afterwards,
I certainly lose more with Ejectors !!!

For hunting deer, elk, moose, bear, etc. in America, I personally hate ejectors. I have used double rifles with ejectors, and learned to hate the "ping" of ejectors, that alarms animals to where I am. You see, shooting one or two rounds doesn't alert animals to where you are, as the big boom bounces around the hills, but ejector "pings" alerts animals to where you are, as the direction of those sort of sounds are detected easily by animals). To have to look around the brush for fired cartridge cases, as a handloader, is a pain too. In 99% of real hunting situations, you are going to get only one or two shots off at big game animals, before they run off, and, fact is, that you need only one or two shots anyway to collect game, so reloading a double and shooting more than 2 shots is really not needed, if you are a good skilled hunter, and you should be, so ejectors are not needed the vast majority of the time. Ejectors are wonderful, if on a shotgun, shooting pheasant, doves, upland birds, and ducks/geese, but not good on a rifle. I have used non ejector double rifles, and found the experience more desirable, so I no longer use ejectors on rifles at all.

I agree, the ping definately alerts animals to "human's around".

I hit a Buff real hard with a 500 but it didn;t run off as it didn't know it was almost dead but the ping of the ejectors made it turn move - in some ways I think looking for me.

I find I can reload almost as fast with Extractors as with Ejectors.

Not needed. Plus they make your rifle a little harder to open.

As already said if new, get the gun with them, you could always take the springs out.

I've owned and used double rifles both with and without ejectors for almost 20 years now. Least important issue I can think of.

I prefer ejectors, but I don't think they're crtical.

The "PING" does alert game, and elephants can focus on the sound...

When I first got into double rifles I thought they were a must have. I have since learned there are many occasions where I don't want or need them.

On a new gun I would get them as it can aid resale, on a vintage double I wouldn't care less.

Since we all love having more than one double rifle it makes sense to have some with ejectors to use in appropriate circumstances, and to have others without ejectors to use in those times when the ping is annoying!

The more the better. You really can have your cake and eat it too!

You can have your cake and eat it too, especially with a new DR.

If buying a DR, I would still get Ejectors and then if I didn't want them, take the spring out.

All the answers you have so far are all golden! I have double rifles equipped both ways, and there are situations where either may be preferable.

When shooting on a range I like extractors, simply because I don’t want my brass hitting the concrete every time I reload fast for #3, and #4. When hunting deer bear or hogs I don’t like them because I don’t like loosing expensive brass.

The one time I love selective ejectors is when hunting Cape buffalo in the thick jesse. Buffalo often take more than two rounds to stop, and in that situation, I couldn’t care less about the brass, what I want is the empties out of my way. I don’t hunt elephant, but if I did I think I’d prefer extractors, because in many cases the Askaris are near, but unseen, and the “PING” and click on opening, marks you for the Askari. Top that off with the click of the re-setting the ejectors on closing, and you are making a lot of metallic noise.

I can live with either no matter the game I’m chasing, but for Buffalo, or follow-up on the cats I’d like to have them.

Like others here, if I were buying new, then I’d likely get ejectors, because as already stated they are easy to disengage, and they inhance resale!

I would have thought you would have the damn thing reloaded before the echo had died and the dust settled??? Otherwise you are standing there with an unloaded rifle ....right?

When I wrote that, I was thinking of one of my 500's that has a really loud click to it and seems to make the rounds "ring" as they eject.

I have seen the reaction so they must hear it.
