Congratulations, glad to see your season is working out better than it started out with the tag mess up. What do you use on them? Did you get a chance to try a call? I've called things with horns, feathers, and fur, but never scales. That might be kind of fun to try. Again congrats.

only once did get it to turn and was interested as the season goes on and they get spooky i will try it to much boat traffic and the wrong wind to try the lake and try to call from near the shore but i am going to try, what an f***** up system went from no tags to 12 tags.so i will hunt till 11-1.i use a cross bow with a fishing arrow tied to a float and a laser sight at night.a slow and silent stalk then all hell breaks loose.these were 250-350 pounds easy and tarawa will tell you they put up a fight.so far thats 4 down 8 to go we get 2 gators per tag.

Bwananelson, I've always been interested in bang sticks but never handled or seen one "in the flesh" How do they work exactly ? I've seen them on shark documentaries but thats about it. A carbon bullet ? Describe that as well, best, Mike

spelling error a corbon bullet, the shell sits in a sleeve that's inserted in another bigger sleeve then with a 1/4 inch of slide play the shell hits the primer versus the firing pin hitting the shell very simple.some rednecks here use a socket within another socket have seen it done that way with a 410.i have seen bang sticks in shotgun,223,357,44,50AE,any shell with a rim i would not go to big they get their name for a reason that explosion is close to you and even the 50AE,WILL SHOWER YOU WITH BONE FRAGMENTS ,best done when animal is under water.i have been hit with bone chunks before its not fun and in the eyes could be trouble.if interested could get pictures i guess tarawa is starting to build them soon.

I must say that Nelson and Stephanie are most excellent hosts and gator hunters. Nelson snuck up on those gators not 10 minutes after a group of so called gator hunters went through the area. Nelson said "Now that those hunters are done screwing around over there, we can go in and get the gators that they scared away"! Gator hunting is very hard work and very exciting! Thanks Nelson!
