I'd like to get a bore snake for my .470. The biggest I've seen made is for a .458. Will that work in my gun or do you know of another source that makes the snake for the exact caliber I've got?

Do a search for bore snakes and you will find the site that is the maker.

I talked to the owner some time ago and he said that he has a bore snake for the 470. I don't have the packaging material that came with the bore snakes that I've accumulated, sorry. If you have the packing material that came with your bore snake, you can find contact information on it.

I have a couple of new ones at home and will try to find some info. I bought a 458 for my 470 but havent tried it yet, will also do that soon.

Thanks, Christer! I just e-mailed Hoppes and asked them which snake they would recommend. That said, I did not see a snake offered by them on their web site made just for a .470. They had calibers up to a .458 and then skipped to a .50 caliber.....

I use the 50 calber boresnake for my 470 and it works fine.
