Would appreciate suggestion for quality quick detachable 1" scope rings & 2 piece base for a standard Winchester pre 64, model 70, sr no 72,xxx, manufactured in 1947. Screw spacing on front & rear receivers is .860"
Scope will be a kahles CL 2-7 x 36mm or conquest 2.5-8 x 32mm
The rifle has open sights which I enjoy using occasionally, would prefer detachable or quick release mounts..

You haven't mentioned the caliber?
I've got a german G9 from ERA on my rifle, very sturdy mount that cope with heavy recoil, returns to zero 100% when taken off an on.. Will last the life of the action.

Lynx- I had Warne QD rings/bases on my pre-'64 and the bases were not low enough for me to use the sights very well. I just bought a post-64 African Express and I'm going to install the EAW Quick-Loc rings & bases on it...they appear to be significantly lower.
You might also want to look at Talley.
