Norma make them, but they are expensive. quality excellent, long lasting (I've been told)

That's a bit of an oxymoron statement !
I'd prefer higher priced, quality excellent, long lasting than cheaper and only last 2 shots !!!
RWS Make good cases as well and since you are in Europe, you shouldn't have a problem getting them. I don't think I've had to throw any out yet.

Thanks for the answers. One Norma case goes for about 5 USD here in Norway...And RWS cases are very hard to get.
Huvius: I'm looking for shooters.

You can also use UTLRA MAG cases IF you have a CRF action as they are slightly rebated compared to standard Jeffery brass. I agree with 500Nitro, I have Norma cases and they are brilliant!!
Graf and sons in the US has them IF you can import them. Hornady now make them as well and they are cheaper than the Norma stuff
Hope that helps,

500 Nitro , I agree with you. Oxymoron = apparent contradiction. My statement is not really a contradiction. Norma are great cases, in fact I bought 40 cases in 404J, but at A$280 for forty they are expensive (ie lots of money) even if they are worth every penny. Therefore there is no real contradiction. Cheers PS I'll probably buy Norma or RWS cases for my double rifle, when it finally arrives

You might try huntington's (www.huntingtons.com). They show a box of 20 Norma cases for about $45 USD. However, with Norwegian import taxes, shipping, etc. you will probably be back to $5 per case. www.midway.no offers 100 cases for 3203 kr which, as you say works out to almost USD 5 per case.
A further option might be one of the UK auction houses, especially Holts. Sometimes they offer brass in their 'sealed bids' sales, where you can get some occasional bargains.

Hello Lakelander,
maybe I can assist in obtaining some 404 cases (new production/unfired)from RWS. I would buy them from local dealers or Johannsen and send them to you.
Are there any regulations in Norway for importing cartridge cases via parcel?
Please send me a PM.
best regards Rolf
