my latest sambar hind pic.

I took pics of a small stag last night but it was dark as buggery,tonight I got onto the deer with enough light for a pic. Note the ultra fat rump on her.

These are really interesting animals, and I can see why they have got you hooked.

Thankyou.... hooked dosent really tell the story,there are many many more like me that love their deer hunting too, well I will qualify that with sambar deer hunting,there is quite a difference.

Here is her last year calf,its probably a better pic as I somehow got through the berry canes to get a decent focus.
The hind had last years young one plus her latest calf with her and I stalked into the same area the next evening and virtually walked into them but couldn't get pics of them...yep i fluffed it and was pissed off with my own silly mistake of "not being on the ball" maybe I wasn't obsessed enough that day haha.
Its berry heaven in this place Al,fugn acres of the bastards!
