Spring Hunting in your area?

We are gearing up for both Black Bear and Brown/Grizzly here in Alaska. What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Spring Turkey is opening soon here in Ohio, and there is always the ever dangerous Ohio chipmunks, no offical season but spring is a good time to control the populations a bit. Nothing lighter than 22 Short is acceptable I usually us longs for safety sake.

Spring, the best time to hunt pigs out here. We just
came back from a 3 day hunt in Central Cal. Perfect
weather, lots of pigs. Life is good.

Spring turkey & ground hog hunting.

I love the long range hunting of ground hogs. I have killed them out to 556 yards. Out to 300 yards it is almost a slam dunk. This is great practice for the fall hunting seasons.

There is an open season for black bears, and if you were successful with the limited entry (lottery) then you may be hunting grizzly and turkey. I believe cougar and wolf ended last month.
