That is beautiful work, and with the falling US dollar, not a bad price either.

What are the difference between this action and a regular Mauser?

Not just "some," everyone who likes fine rifles would appreciate this. Thank you very much for the post, Starman. Beautiful action!

i,m sure it works nice ,myself ,,, im just not partial to "enhanced square bridges" in fact some of the nicest rifles ever built (just talking mauser) either had 1 single rear bridge or none at all, bottom metal looks good though....paul

The thing about the Satterlee action is that it can be ordered in just about any configuration that you might want. Having the big square bridge and receiver allows a multiplicity of mounting options and can be machined to many base shapes. Surely it would depend on the purpose of the finished rifle and that influences our perception concerning "looks". I realy like Satterlee's actions, and would love one of his finished rifles.

Even in the white, that is a beautiful action. I'd love to have one sitting right behind a 24" barrel chambered for the .505 Empire.

Stuart has an action listed in the AR Classifieds for much lower than this price in case someone is interested.

G'Day Fella's,

Nice bit of engineering! Also, thank you for the images.

These above images may not be of a carbon steel action, "In the White" as www.satterleearms.com also do an M98 action, in Titanium!
