I've heard of hunting in many African countries except Kenya. Is it allowed to hunt there or is it just for sight seeing. The reason i'm asking is that a good friend of mine has recently been posted as the Ambassador there but unfortunately he is not a hunter. Can he arrange a hunt there for me?I would like to know before i start pestering him to do something.
Kenya banned all sport and trophy hunting in the 1970s when they gained independance and now the only hunting that officially takes place is for residents.
.......however, if your friend is an Ambassador I would think that there would be a chance that he might be offered some kind of trip for himself and a guest or two as a diplomatic courtesy....... if he can arrange something I would think you would have the hunt of a lifetime.....some of their areas are fantastic.
My wife had an extended photo safari there last year whilst I was in in Tanzania hunting and some of her photographs are simply breathtaking.
Even you can't go inside the country with a rifle but you can with a shotgun an hunt birds.
There're nice doves hunts there
