Could someone please tell me where I could buy, preferably online, a rear sight for a Parker Hale Safari in .30-06.
Attached is a picture of the existing but damaged rear sight.
Thanks.

Does the sight have a brand name stamped on it? I've owned a few early Parker Hale rifles over the years but cannot remember the brand of the folding rear sight used on them. Similar sights were made with the Lyman and Marbel makers names and a search on US and UK ebay may bring some results. Something like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lyman-Rear-sight_W0Q...%3A1%7C294%3A50 This one is a bit knocked around, but there is also a 'new in packet' Marbel folding rear sight there, if you do a search. Some other members here own Parker Hale rifles and may be able to identify the brand. Best of luck with your search.

I think that I have on in a box of odds and sods. I know I stripped a Parker hale Safari in .308 for parts a while ago.
If you could get a slightly better pic from a couple of angles it would help.
Drop me a PM and I will remember to have a look tomorrow afternoon.

Is it a folding single leaf sight?

4seventy: I do not think the sight was branded but I will ask my friend to have another look. Thanks for the link and suggestions.
Bramble: I will have my friend take some more pics and will put them up on here.
John: It is indeed a folding sight.
Thanks chaps.
Regards.

It's a bit late I know but for future reference the P-H rifles used Willaims sights. I am fairly new to the site else I would have posted sooner.
