They do work well but do spoil the balance of the rifle.

I like them, but you do have to be careful about balance. I put one in my CZ 550 375 H&H and it helped the balance, since the rifle was too muzzle heavy for me (CZ uses the same barrel contour from 375 to 458 so the 375 barrel is substantially heavier).

Regards,

Chuck

I have two in my .577 Nitro express which is built on a ruger number 1. I wasnt going to use them but couldnt get the weight any other way, but because the rifle was made from scratch the barrel was left heavy to balance them out. I found they work well, but they will affect the ballance of your rifle if its ballanced now.

Cheers

Steve

I had one on a Perazzi TMX I used to shoot Trap, with and I felt it actually increased muzzle flip because of the weight shift toward the rear. If you do use one, be sure to counterbalance the front end, especially on a heavy kicker.

What price can have a reverse gear of mercury?. It is the day that I have a 458 Lott, or I put a Pachmayr Decelerator corner or if I see that its decline is strong I'll take more appropriate measures.

Thank you,

Oscar.
