While looking at Siace's website I noticed that they offer a double shotgun with rifled barrels in 12 and 20 guage. I was wondering if it would be regulated somewhat?

I took a look and couldn't find the reference to rifled 12 or 20 bores. Can you point me in the right direction?

Several years ago, I asked Dewing's gunshop in West Palm Beach, Florida to ask if Siace would make a rifled shotgun. The answer was yes, but they would need a minimum of ten orders to do it. I didn't follow up, but did ask Dewing's the following year and got the same answer.

Dewing's told me Siace would regulate the guns with whatever ammo I specified.

Maybe they went ahead and did the guns? BTW, Dewings closed their doors a couple of months ago.

I ended up ordering the Conneticutt Shotgun RBL rifled 20ga.

Dewings is re-opening under a new name and management. I believe one of the previous owners is involved.
See what is on page 10 of the online Siace Catalogue. You can try the link below or go to there home page and click on the "production" tab.

Tarawa,

Thanks! I found the info in your link.

Very interesting.

A 12ga with a pair of rifled barrels and a pair of smooth bore barrels would cover a whole lot of shooting here.

Under what name is DeWings re-opening? Same location?

JPK

This is what I asked them:

I see you have 12gauge paradox rifled guns on your homepage. Are these rifled and regulated for the traditional 750grain slug at 1400Ft/sec??

Sincerely jens

lets see what they reply

Why do they call them Paradox Barrels if they are fully rifled ?

I don't class ESL as a reasonable excuse.

Sorry it took me so long to answer, but this was in the Palm Beach Putz. Left Wing Mayor, Lois Frankel was trying to block it by changing the zoning laws.

"The store arrives on the scene after the bankruptcy filing and closing of another downtown sporting goods retailer, Dewing's Fly & Gun Shop, at 123 Datura St. On April 1, Dewing's moved to liquidate through a Chapter 7 filing that listed $6.8 million in debt and $172,000 in assets. The store's manager for the past seven years, Michael D. Burnett, is now president of Palm Beach Sporting Traditions LLC."

How can a small sporting shop rack up that kind of debt? Seems an astronomical amount!

I'd love to see the carpet that guy's riding away on!
Nearly seven million in loss with less than two hundred grand to show.
Makes a guy wonder if 'antiques' are counted on the records of a FFL firearms dealer.
I can imagine six or so million in 'antique crap' I'd like to shelter in such a fiasco.

Wowza!

Cheers
Tinker

Datura St. eh?
Maybe they simply hallucinated that there was over $6mil in debt!
