Now accepting applications for my autograph

I just purchased the Barnes Reloading Manual Number 3, and while paging through it last night, there on page 78 was a photo of yours truely. I must say I was quite surprised, because I sent this photo in to Barnes back in 1986 or so. Any way, I'm now accepting requests for my autograph, limited to the first 100,000 requests. Please include your check in the amount of $10.00 Zim.

My Barnes #3 has a blank page 78...is that you? What caliber do you appear under?

Just send a self addressed, stamped envelope along with your check for 10 Zim Dollars and I'll send you a photo copy of the page with it autographed.

Also, if I were you, I'd send the manual back for a full refund since you missed out on this chance to see such a famous person in action.

Sounds like Barnes did a big Oops.

It is a violation of Utah law to use the name or likeness of a person n in order to promote a product without that person's permission. You may not care, but all it takes is 1 person in the whole book to make a fuss and Barnes will be on the hook.

Since I sent that photo in 18 or so years ago, my memory is a bit weak on details (hell, I can hardly remember yesterday, and I don't even drink anymore). But with the photo I probably sent them a note saying they could use it if they wanted to. Either way, I don't have a problem with it. By the way, since you're buying those binoculars from me do you want me to enclose an autograph?

I hate to tell you this, but my Barnes #3 has a page 78 with ".222 Remington Magnum" at the top and is otherwise blank.

The autograph requests have been coming in so frequently that I can no longer honor requests for it. I also ran into an unexpected complication, in that my bank won't cash a check written out for Zim $.

I looked at that blank page 78 for hours! At last I saw something...the Virgin Mary!!...shucks...it was Elvis...

I once swapped a Zim$100 bill with an AR member who collects bank notes for a beer if I ever meet him anywhere. I don't know him at all too.

I still think I got a good exchange rate.

Heck, my dear mother didn't even order one.

What bothers me even more though is that I went and ordered 1000 copies of the manual to autograph and sell, and when they came in, page 78 wasn't just blank, someone took the time to actually tear out the page. Go figure!

What a fantastic idea! You can be the first to donate to the cause. I figure to do it right I'll need an 8 mega pixel digital camera, a new computer and laser printer, and of course, a 25 inch plasma monitor. How much are you in for?

One thing I've noticed is that over the past 25 years or so the clothing manufacturers are making their clothes so much tighter now. Any one else notice that?
