SPEER Manual 12 shows some loads with their 400gr Flat SP using AA2230. The Speer 400gr would likely be softer than the Woodleigh since it has a thin jacket, and the Woodleigh a much heavier jacket. But, it might be a starting point.

Ken Water's found that IMR 3031 In the 70 - 72 grain area produced excellent accuracy in the .458 Winchester. Accurate Arms shows AA-2230 used with 400 grain Barne's soft with between 72-80 grains. Reloder 7 is good for the light .458 bullets too.
