Takedown yewbow..is comming

I have done some thinking and talked to jay St Charles regarding a Takedown longbow. Been shooting longbow for many years, I think it was about time to replace my laminated flatbows with the real thing. Once I saw these takedowns I knew that one day I would get one. Very easy to carry. doesn`t weigh much...
Is there anyone who knows Pacific Yew INC? Just wondering.

i have seen one in denmark, very nice workmanship allthough a bit pricy. if you need one i will see if i can find the phone number for a danish bowsmith that makes them for 2/3 of the price.

I now have it!!!.

Workmanship par exellence. The finest I have ever had(and seen).

I can highly recommend Pacific Yew INC owned by Jay St Charles.

A selfbow is kind of like a bamboo fly rod in that it does take a little extra care. Pope used to rub his down with a very light coat of linseed oil on occasion. Yew is a soft wood and care needs to be taken so as not to damage one. They are not as tough as laminated bows or Osage. I make mine out of the local "ironwood". Have fun good shooting.
