Here are a few pictures of a Newton rifle which used to be in my family. I don't know what the etiquette is on posting guns which you no longer own, but there is no worry on me bad-mouthing this one. Said to be engraved by Kornbrath and stocked by Fred Adolph. When my great uncle went off to WW2, he told his wife, "sell whatever you need to if you need the money - except the Newton!"

Hoovie;
What to say...
A .280 Dubiel and now this??
What a spectacular rifle!
Those two really sum up an era gone.
Great rifle and thanks for posting.

It was the best of times and the worst of times... No time to regret the decisions of others. Sometimes people (read family) do things that cannot be explained. For the record, I didn't sell it outside the family. I was just fortunate to have it for the time I did. This is really the only "shoulda kept it" gun I've had, but I was obligated to sell it back to my brother - I assume the role of family pawn shop on occasion. Looking back, I should have just put up the cash to keep it...
