Robert Zimmerman cocking piece sight

I am trying to contact Robert Zimmerman, a Virginia gunsmith who has posted here in the past, and has done work for several members here. Several months back I sent him 1/2 down on a Mauser cocking piece rear sight, and I gathered that several other guys did the same thing as part of a "run" of sights he was making. I have not heard any more from him and he does not answer emails or telephone calls. Does anyone here have any information as to how he can be contacted? The sight was supposed to be finished in October. I'm not trying to "air my dirty laundry", I have just run out of ideas.

we must maintain class and this sort of thing should not be tolerated as a group.how about some help from you virginia boys your near can you look him up and ask whats up or have you heard any news and lets not jump the gun either he may be laid up or unable to respond.you can start with your post master general and see if there is mail fraud involved.if he is in a sinister way this may get his attention.will be at the shot show i will see if i can find anything out i remember the part it was sweet.i am sure we will all try to help.come on guys lets help out

I last heard from Rusty on December 12, in regard to a project he has undertaken to help me with. Since my dealings with him have always been of the best, I can only conclude that some legitimate emergency has prevented his responses.

I have contacted him directly and sent him a reference to this thread in the hope that it might clear things up.

I interacted with him about a week ago and he is working on his projects as he finds the time and I am sure his time was taken up by the holidays and othe rissues, just as the rest of us, and I expect he will meet his obligations as soon as he can. He has always replied to my inquiries and I for one have no reaosn to cast doubt on him.

The natur eof work like this is that it takes time.

I have the sights ready for final finishing and assembly. I'm shipping two tomorow, and the rest should ship about 1 or two per week as I can get them finished up.

see every body can relax we all get busy and some times we dont communicate as well as we should.and yes i can see the anxiety it can cause but the guys i see here tend to be a differant breed and a usually gentleman.i have never had a bad deal here.and this guys part is so sweet will be worth the wait.
