Does this strike anyone but me as being a little pricy, especially with the D&T square bridge and barrel? Also, I suspect that what is pictured may not be the original factory blue.

Bearing in mind that this is a dealer, I think it is priced about 1K higher than it's market value. If you want to see unreal pricing, look at Puglisi's site. What annoys me is the word "original" used as a lead in and then modifications appear in the detailed description. What do you see wrong with the barrel?

I was thinking about the same as Dons.
The rear bridge is the problem with this one and there looks to be something going on with the barrel just ahead of the receiver ring. Of course, the enlarged photos don't show it.
Double square bridge, solid left wall though - very rare action.

How about the .505 at Champlin's?

Huvius: That is one serious 505 working gun...beautiful, and a bargain at that. A 10K offer would probably get it done. As far as marital bliss goes.....It is better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission.

I meant to say "drilled and tapped double square bridge and barrel". Mea culpa.

this gun was on there site about 5 months ago for the same price, the barrel being tapped is a problem no doubt ,the tapping of the rear bridge could have been camoflaged by re stippling if need be,but the screw is too close the the edge of the bridge, although it would never be right,
the bluing appears ok to me. G&H pay next to nothing for tradeins so there is definitly room here.......paul
