Getting 2 More Double Rifles!!!

Well my Dad last month purchased a new Heym .470NE O/U. Within the next week (maybe couple of weeks) we will add to our collection a Rotweil (sp?) 9.3x74R O/U and a Franz Sodia .300 Win Mag O/U with a second .458 barrel. We know the Rotweil is not exactly a top end gun but a friend of ours shot the gun and said it shoots well, the price is good, and the detail of the gun is nice. So hopefully they arrive soon so we can pick them up. Coming from the USA Very Excited!

I made a mistake on this post. I had the manufacturers listing under the wrong caliber. They are now correct.

We are far from experts of O/U Double Rifles but we definetly love them! My Dad and I have done so much reading and research on doubles over the past year, it feels so good to actually own one, soon to be 3

zr2paul, way ta go mate!
The O/U double rifle is the least understood of all doubles and cops loads of crap from those who think they know but really don't.
I've used them for years and can't believe some of the rubbish that is told about them.
Working properly, they are very good indeed!
Congratulations on you new toys.

...congratulations...as with you, i am quite fond of medium bore ou doubles for everything except the most dangerous of game...will you scope your ou's...

I will post pictures when I get all our guns. Ill put them on WebShots.

As for scopes this is how it goes:

Heym .470NE orginally didnt have a scope BUT my Dad wants a scope so he is having them put the claw mounts on and adding a Swarovski Scope on it. I personally would rather keep that gun without a scope.

The Rotweil (sp?)9.3x74R has a claw mount with a Zeis Scope or a Leupold Scope...dont remember.

The Franz Sodia .300 Win Mag has the claw mount with a Leupold Scope. The second barrel .458 has no scope. We will leave the .458 as is.

Well done to you and your Dad, Paul.

Three doubles and four sets of barrels, all in a month or so.

I'm looking very much forward to your photos and later to your shooting and hunting stories.

A .470, a .458, a 9.3 and a .300. You seem to almost have everything covered except a small bore. What is the .300 - ie what cartridge?

NITROX the .300 is a Winchester Mag. I assume thats what you were asking?
