Ever heard of a Lefever double rifle?

I am sure many here have heard of (or perhaps own/owned) an old Lefever double shotgun, but I'd never heard of a Lefever double rifle. I found these pictures of one at:

Obviously they weren't common, but here's one posted some time ago on the Double-Gun BBS (I think!). The original 'vent-rib'!!

Chambering is 45-100.

Beats me why anyone would think this kind of re-colouring on an old gun looks good! Interesting piece, though.

There sure isn't anything wrong with either caliber. I never realized that thye built Double Rifles.
